The Boiler Room was located below the Kitchen and accessed through its own staircase at the rear. It is unknown what type of boiler was used to provide the heating to the main house but from around 1950 a diesel powered Boiler was installed and used until 1989 when it finally gave up life and died.
Nowadays the house is no longer heated and only a select few rooms are heated by gas.
